Getting organized can change your life. The change may be as small as knowing that at the end of the day, you’ll walk into a tidy home that’s easy to maintain and restful to be in. Perhaps you’ll experience an improvement in your health because you won’t be starting your days stressed out by being unable to find key things in your home anymore, which used to leave you running out the door late and frazzled. You might find that your social or family life improves once you are able to get more done in your smooth-running office during the day and have more time on evenings and weekends to relax with family and friends. It’s likely that you’ll make more money as a result of the increase in your work output and the attention it gets you from your clients and superiors.

During a move or corporate relocation, an organizer can assist with packing, staging a home for sale, planning the space in your new home, and unpacking. When moving into a retirement community or planning the dissolution of an estate, an organizer can help coordinate a system for making sure precious items are properly stored and/or distributed, stage an auction or garage sale, refer vendors for accounting and legal services, and act as an impartial agent of the family. After being divorced or widowed, an organizer can help make the painful task of sorting through possessions linked to memories easier by bringing objectivity to the process and providing emotional support. When taking on a new business challenge, an organizer can help create a work environment which will improve productivity and efficiency for you and your colleagues. An organizer can help turn your workplace into a marketing tool, illustrating for all who enter the kind of well-oiled machine your business, department, classroom, shop, etc.

Anyone who wants to be organized! Whether you are already an organized person looking to improve efficiency and productivity, or someone who has become overwhelmed by stress, “stuff,” or paper, a professional organizer can help you. Professional organizers combine their knowledge of available resources (goods and services) with creative problem solving to create or fine tune systems which will enable you and your family or staff to easily find and replace items in your home or office. Their areas of expertise range from space and efficiency planning; to Feng Shui and ergonomics; to innovating filing systems or children’s bedrooms; to time management and event planning.

According to the National Association of Professional Organizers, “A professional organizer enhances the lives of clients by designing systems and processes using organizing principles and through transferring organizing skills. A professional organizer also educates the public on organizing solutions and the resulting benefits.”
